Voters approved a new 10-year bus replacement reserve fund by a vote of 56-6 on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The reserve fund can only be used for buses and has a $500,000 limit. It replaces the current fund which is about to expire.
"This will enable us to continue turning our buses over on a regular basis," said Superintendent Richard Rose.
The district currently leases all of its buses. A total of 90 percent of the money in the reserve fund comes from state aid.
