Dear Canajoharie Community,
I am honored to begin my work here as your Superintendent of
Schools. You have entrusted me to ensure that your children receive
the best education we can provide. I take this responsibility with
the greatest regard and thought.
Our children are the most precious gift we have, and together we must continue to prepare them to be competent and reliable members of the future workforce and active participants in our democratic society. In challenging times, we cannot lose sight of the importance of education. My experiences in education as a teacher, professional development specialist and administrator have focused on helping schools be the best they can be, so our students can be their very best!
Schools are like a grove of aspen trees. In an aspen grove, the root system of each tree is interconnected and dependent on each other for growth and survival. Our success in the education of our children is like that root system. Our students, families, school faculty /staff and community are also interconnected, and dependent on each other to provide our children with the learning experience they deserve. Together we can continue to building upon the wonderful learning experiences in place for our children.
As the newest member of the Canajoharie community, I
look forward to becoming involved in many activities that will enhance
the educational experience of our children, in and out of school. And I
look forward to meeting and working together with all of you!
Warmest regards,
Debbie Grimshaw
